SS Rajamouli Varanasi: Whenever filmmaker SS Rajamouli announces a new project, the entire country considers it a blockbuster. This time too he gave a big surprise to the fans with the title of his new mega project ‘Varanasi’. Rajamouli launched the title of the film with the entire team in a grand event held at Ramoji Film City. These stars included Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. This is the first time that Rajamouli and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu are coming together in a film. Mahesh Babu will play the role of Rudra in the film and Priyanka will play the role of Mandakini.

Fans are eagerly waiting for this big project of Rajamouli. Let us tell you that ‘Varanasi’ will hit the theaters in January 2027 i.e. on Makar Sankranti. At the same time, around 50,000 fans had reached the title launch. There, the teaser was shown on a large 130×100 feet screen. The visuals shown in the teaser looked absolutely magical. From Antarctica to Varanasi, Kenya and then from 512 CE to 2027 CE, we also get a glimpse of Treta Yuga. However, the most talked about shot was of Mahesh Babu in which he is seen running in the streets of Varanasi, riding on a bull, holding a trident, in a blood-stained kurta.

Priyanka Chopra will be seen in the role of ‘Mandakini’ in ‘Varanasi’. A gun-toting character who is very powerful as well as stylish. Apart from PC, Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing the role of main villain ‘Kumbh’ in this film. It is being told that this is the most challenging role of Prithviraj’s career. Meanwhile, the film’s lead star Mahesh Babu said that ‘Varanasi’ is a dream project for him. He told that his late father Krishna always wanted him to work in such films.
