Take care of cleanliness– Geeta should always be recited in a clean place only. You should take bath with Ganga water and wear clean clothes. Before starting the lesson, clean the temple and perform the puja by lighting incense sticks and lamps.
Keep in mind that one should not sit on the floor while reading religious books. Find a seat for yourself and sit on it. Keep Geeta also on a wooden pedestal. While meditating on God, take a resolution and start the lesson.
Do not leave the lesson incomplete- Get up only after completing the chapter. You cannot get up midway while reciting Geeta. Get up only after completing the chapter you are reading. After the chapter is over, salute God.
Keep your mind calm- While reading Geeta, do not let any negative thoughts come to your mind, otherwise your attention will get distracted and you will not be able to concentrate on your lesson.
The teachings of Geeta do not yield results just by reading them, but they should also be understood and adopted. Bhagavad Gita also considers karma as the greatest. Therefore, you can get the full benefit of reading Geeta only if you read it with full dedication and attention.
