Suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir is going to lay the foundation of the new Babri Mosque with his supporters on Saturday in Beldanga in Murshidabad district of West Bengal over the demolition of Babri Masjid. On the other hand, preparations for this program have started and Humayun’s supporters are continuously reaching the venue. Many videos related to this have surfaced on social media in which his supporters are reaching Beldanga carrying bricks on their heads to lay the foundation of the mosque.
High Court did not impose any ban
At the same time, after the arrival of a large number of supporters, a large number of police forces have been deployed and are on high alert. Humayun Kabir had recently announced the construction of this mosque, after which a big political controversy arose. The ruling party has strongly opposed it. At the same time, Samajwadi Party and Congress are supporting it. Hindu organizations have already warned that no mosque will be allowed to be built in the name of Babar. Apart from this, after the controversy escalated, the matter reached the court and the court clearly refused to ban the construction of the mosque. The High Court has directed the state government to maintain peace until the completion of this program.
More than 3 thousand soldiers present on the spot
A large number of police forces have been deployed in the surrounding areas including Beldanga. The administration is currently on high alert and is making full preparations to prevent any untoward incident. Apart from this, keeping in mind the seriousness of the matter, 19 teams of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) including Rapid Action Force, BSF and local police have been deployed. Overall, more than 3 thousand police forces have been deployed.
Is the police supporting Humayun?
Suspended TMC MLA Humayun has also left his home to lay the foundation of the mosque and during this, while discussing with the media, he said that I will lay the foundation of Babri Masjid in Beldanga today. The police is supporting me and I have discussed all the issues with them. The suspended MLA further said that after the order of Calcutta High Court yesterday, the state police is supporting me and has also given me security. Along with Humayun, common people from every corner of Bengal are reaching Beldanga in large numbers. During the program, many people and Maulvi of Muslim community including Humayun were present on the stage.
