UP News: A strange case has come to light in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. In the Kothi police station area of the district, a doctor operated on the woman after watching a video from YouTube, due to which her condition became critical. The woman died after some time. As soon as the woman died, the operator left the clinic and ran away with his nephew. As soon as the news of death was heard, there was chaos among the family members. A woman died due to surgery performed in a clinic in Kothi police station area. Police said that the director of Shri Damodar Dispensary, Gyan Prakash Mishra and his nephew, without any medical degree, performed the surgery on the woman after watching a video from YouTube. The victim Munishara Rawat was suffering from stones. The woman was brought to the clinic by her husband Tehbahadur Rawat for treatment on 5 December.
The woman complained of stones
The clinic operator told Tehbahadur Rawat that the stomach ache was due to stones. The doctor advised to undergo operation. The doctor told the cost of the operation to be Rs 25,000. The husband had also deposited Rs 20,000 before the surgery. But during the operation done after watching the video from YouTube, the woman’s condition became critical and she died. After the incident, the police have registered a case against both the accused and started investigation. In his complaint, Tehbahadur alleged that the director of Shri Damodar Dispensary, Gyan Prakash Mishra, was under the influence of alcohol. Mishra started the operation process by watching a YouTube video. The husband alleged that Mishra, in an intoxicated state, made a deep incision in his wife’s stomach, due to which several veins were cut. After this, his wife died on the evening of 6 December.
Accused absconding, clinic sealed
Mishra’s nephew assisted him during this process. Kothi SHO Amit Singh Bhadoria said that a case has been registered against the clinic operator and his nephew under sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 along with causing death by negligence. He said that efforts are on to arrest the absconding accused. Police said that nephew Vivek Kumar Mishra is working in an Ayurvedic hospital in Rae Bareli and he allegedly ran an illegal clinic under the guise of his government job for several years. Police said that on Tuesday, Kothi Community Health Center Superintendent Sanjeev Kumar sealed the clinic.
