Nainital: An interesting case of Kumaon University in Uttarakhand has come to light. In short, due to being a name, Kumaon University administration was eaten and he appointed another candidate in place of the selected candidate. This matter was now opened after 20 years, when the selected candidate came to know about it. Now this matter has gone to Uttarakhand High Court.

Case of lecturer post in the Department of Physics of the University

The Uttarakhand High Court has asked Kumaon University to present the documents about the appointment made two decades ago. A PIL claimed that the wrong person was selected instead of the right candidate. Pawan Kumar Mishra in his PIL claimed that despite his selection for the post of lecturer in the Department of Physics in the university in 2005, Pramod Kumar Mishra was recruited in his place, because his name was also similar to him. Both wrote a brief name PK Mishra of their names.

While hearing the PIL, a bench of Chief Justice Guhanathan Narendra and Justice Alok Mehra has directed the university to present all the documents related to the appointment. The petitioner living in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad alleged that the appointment was made with the connivance of the then Registrar, Dean (Science), Head of Department (Physics) and other employees of the university. The petition said that the person appointed in place of the selected candidate is still teaching physics in the university.

The victim made contact with the university administration several times, but no result was found

The petitioner said that he came to know about the alleged fraud in November 2024 after about 20 years. After this, he wrote a letter demanding justice to the Vice Chancellor and Chief Minister of the university, but no result was found. The victim said that he contacted the university administration several times, but every time he was returned with assurance.
