Bangladesh News : Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and President of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Khaleda Zia is quite serious. It is being told that he has been kept on ventilator at K Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. AZM Zahid Hussain said that UK specialists would join the international medical board which was already overseeing Jiah’s treatment. He said that experts from UK will come on Tuesday to investigate. Apart from this, India, China, America, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have also sent their medical aid. Hussain said a medical board comprising doctors from the UK, US and Bangladesh is taking care of Zia. At the same time, a five-member expert team from China reached Bangladesh on Monday and took updates on the situation.

There is no possibility of taking it abroad

Hussain also told that at present the condition of Khaleda Zia is such that there is no possibility of taking her abroad. He said that we have made all the preparations, but first of all the condition of the patient has been kept in mind and we also do not have any chance when we go beyond the advice of the medical board. He said that the board is constantly monitoring Jiah’s condition and the treatment she is being given is good and she is getting the prayers of the entire country that she will be fine. Zia, a three-time Prime Minister, was admitted to the hospital on November 23 when she was diagnosed with heart and lung infection. Also, his condition is critical and he was kept on ventilation since Sunday.

Tight security guarded

After his health deteriorated significantly, he was admitted to the hospital in Dhaka and meanwhile security has been tightened inside and outside the hospital. Police barricaded the main gate of Evercare Hospital at around 2 in the morning and deployed more than two dozen people to control the number of patients. Four SSF soldiers disinfected many parts of the hospital throughout the night. Jiah is currently living in a cabin on the fourth floor, where the surrounding cabins have been evacuated under strict security protocols. BNP workers are continuously praying for Zia’s recovery in Bangladesh. Many supporters have also posted messages and prayers for his speedy recovery on social media.
