Asia Cup 2025 : In the Asia Cup, India and Pakistan have started warming up politics once in the country and in this episode, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray has targeted the BJP for the match. He said that the saffron party has changed its ideology. Aditya asked the central government whether blood and cricket can now flow together. At the same time, while responding to criticism, Maharashtra Minister and Cricket Administrator Ashish Shelar said that international sports events cannot be affected by bilateral political deadlock. On the other hand, Thackeray said during a conversation with reporters that Pakistan has conducted many terrorist attacks in India and the broadcasts of the country should boycott the India-Pakistan match.
BCCI is doing this in greed?
Aditya Thackeray said that BCCI is becoming anti -national and why is he so excited to play with Pakistan? Is this doing this only in the greed of money, revenue from the team, revenue from advertising. When Pakistan was boycotting the Asia Cup just because it was held in India, why can’t BCCI do this? Thackeray said that if the real BJP had occupied power, it would never allow it. He said that at present the BJP has changed its ideology. After some time, Thackeray wrote on his X handle that if blood and water cannot flow together then how can cricket and blood flow together?
Bilateral series can stop, not tournament
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader further wrote on his X handle that why is the central government silent on playing with the country that shelters terrorism? BJP minister Shelar said that our stand has always been completely clear that the Indian cricket team will not visit Pakistan and will not go to Pakistan either. However, we cannot stop our team from playing or participating in an international tournament. He further said that people are now opposing India’s participation, they should also remember that Balasaheb Thackeray had hosted Miandad at his house. At the same time, Sanjay Raut said on Thursday that Shiv Sena (UBT) will conduct a sindoor defense campaign on 14 September, so that under the Asia Cup tournament, there can be a protest against the match between India and Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.
