Aap’s protest March: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA of Mehraj Malik (Matthew) After being detained, there has been a tense situation in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. The administration implemented prohibitory orders on Tuesday night as a precaution and its scope was extended on Wednesday. Also, all private schools, shops and business establishments were closed. At the same time, AAP leaders including Sanjay Singh, who arrived to protest, were not allowed to protest and they claimed that they have been arrested. Let me tell you that along with AAP leaders including Sanjay Singh (Sanjay Singh) reached Srinagar on Wednesday and through a press conference, a sit-in protest was determined on the press enclave.
A contingent of police deployed
The AAP members were living in the circuit house in the Sonwar area of the city. However, a small police contingent was deployed outside the circuit house and its doors were closed. Also, when Sanjay Singh tried to go out of the circuit house, the police did not allow him to go out. In a video message, Sanjay Singh described police action as dictatorship. It is our constitutional and democratic right to raise our voice in a democracy. He said that we were protesting against Mehraj’s arrest, but the height of dictatorship is that the police is heavy deployment and we are not allowed to go out.
Administration is not telling any reason: AAP
The Rajya Sabha member said that the police was not ready to give us the reason for stopping us. This is dictatorial, because the administration is not even telling us the reason for stopping. Talking about the protest program, the AAP leader asked whether it was a crime in democracy to oppose or keep a press conference? He said that it is a crime in a democracy that his voice should be raised for illegal arrest. Let us know that on Monday, the public order was detained to harass the public order under PSA. This is the first time that a sitting MLA in Jammu and Kashmir has been detained under strict law. Officials said that Mehraj Malik won the Doda seat in 2024 by more than 4500 votes in the assembly elections.
