The people of the village have to go 2-3 kilometers away to take drinking water. This struggle of water starts every day from 3 am. According to the villagers, the problem of drinking water in this village is almost 2 decades old. During this period, Chhattisgarh Government Minister Shiv Dehria and Union Minister Ramesh Bais were also from this region. But after taking votes, no public representative overturned towards this village and saw it again.

People usually begin with the morning walk or worship of the people, but the people of Rewa village have anxiety with the anxiety of drinking water in the morning. The bicycle and motorcycle leaves from the house of this village at 3 am with water caps. People are forced to bring water from village Kukra, about 2-3 km away. The development plans of the government have not reached here. Rather, this village is adjacent to the capital, so the government’s tap-water scheme also reached here, taps were also installed in the village, but there was no water. According to the villagers, the work of Nal-Jal scheme has also been incomplete for years.
According to the State Water Resources Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, there is no situation like severe water crisis in the state. There is a problem of drinking water somewhere, it will be repaired soon. BJP MLA Khushwant says that water will be delivered to the village soon.
Water crisis causing social disdain
