Chhattisgarh News: Union Home Minister praised the Naxalites who surrendered to join the mainstream by renouncing violence on the call of Modi government. Shah further said that he appeals to those people.
Chhattisgarh News : The soldiers have continued the campaign against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh and during this period, many Maoists have also surrendered in the last several months. Of these, 21 Maoists including 13 senior workers have surrendered with their weapons. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday reiterated the government’s resolve to eradicate Naxalism by March 31, 2026. It is being told that on Sunday, 21 Maoists surrendered after handing over 18 weapons to the authorities in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, Amit Shah wrote on X Post that he is happy to inform that 21 Maoists have surrendered with weapons in Chhattisgarh and about 13 of them were senior workers.

Shah further said that he appeals to those who are still holding guns to surrender as soon as possible. Also, we are fully committed to eliminate Naxalism by March 31, 2026. Let us tell you that earlier on October 17, 210 Naxalites, including Rupesh alias Satish, a member of the Central Committee of the Naxalite organization carrying a reward of Rs 9.18 crore, had surrendered by handing over 153 weapons in Jagdalpur of Bastar district.
103 Naxalites surrendered in Bijapur
Apart from this, on October 2, 103 Naxalites surrendered in Bijapur district of Bastar region, out of which 49 had a total reward of more than Rs 1.06 crore. On the other hand, State Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai had said that till now 64 new security camps have been established in Naxal affected areas, which has not only strengthened the security. Also, light has reached every village. He further said that Abujhmad and North Bastar areas have been completely free from Naxalism. This fight is in its decisive phase in South Bastar. Schemes like Niyad Nella Naar have created a new land of dialogue, development and compassion in Bastar.
