Meanwhile, the water level has increased significantly due to continuous rains in Ghazipur, due to which most of the ghats have been completely submerged.

Appeal to residents to be vigilant
For the last Monday of Sawan, the district officials have increased security measures and preparations to control the crowd of devotees coming for Ganga darshan and rituals. Due to the rains in Amethi, there has been widespread waterlogging, due to which the daily life has been badly affected. Due to the sudden rains, there has been heavy water logging and due to the drains being jammed, many areas have been flooded. The NDRF teams are helping the residents trapped in the rising water level. Employees equipped with life -saving jackets and safety equipment are working on waterlogging roads to help the families safe out. The officials are keeping a close watch on the situation and urging the residents to be vigilant.
