This year the yatra will start from July 25 and will continue till 19 August. Registration for the journey has to be done in advance, which can be done both online and offline.
Every day only 15 thousand pilgrims are allowed to participate in the journey. This is to ensure their safety. Therefore, devotees should register in advance to avoid any problem. Registration for this year’s Amarnath Yatra has started from 14 April. The registration process has to be completed in advance with all compulsory documents. The last date for registration is 9 August.
Online registration process
- Go to the website of the official Mr. Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) and click on the Advance Registration Link.
- Read all the guidelines carefully, as well as what to do and what not to do. After reading all the guidelines, click on “I agree”, then click “Register”.
- After this, fill the personal details with a passport size photo. Upload a scanned copy of compulsory health certificate (CHC) and ID proof.
- After this you will get an OTP on your registered mobile number for verification.
- Later a payment link will be sent within two hours to pay the registration fee.
- After the payment is made, you can download your official travel registration permit from the portal.
Phase for offline registration
- Get token slip from specified centers established by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Tokens are issued three days before the selected travel date.
- For medical checkup and formal registration, go to Saraswati Dham the next day.
- To take your card and complete the process, visit the RFID card center in Jammu on the same day. Registration for Amarnath Yatra can be done by visiting the official website of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB). This is a simple process that requires individual details, compulsory health certificate (CHC) and evidence of identity. To complete the process, you have to pay online. The registration fee of Amarnath Yatra is not very high, as it is about Rs 220 per person.
The journey is two main roads for the Amarnath Yatra. A long and a small passage.
Pahalgam Marg: This is a long route. It covers a distance of 32 km. This is a moderately difficult path.
Baltal Marg: This is a small route and covers a distance of 15 km. But it is considered extremely difficult because it is a very high path and is difficult to climb. Devotees should strictly follow the guidelines. They should avoid beverages containing alcohol, smoking and other caffeine during the journey. Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board also advises everyone not to be aware and cautious about high altitude disease and not ignore it.
