New Delhi: The Delhi Police has arrested 6 including the kingpin, busting the interstate gang making fake medicines. The accused used social media platforms to join new suppliers and customers. Police said the accused have been identified as Rajesh Mishra (52), Parmanand (50), two brothers MD Alam (35) and MD Salim (42), MD Juvair (29) and Prem Shankar Prajapati (25). The accused were involved in the manufacture, packaging and distribution of fake life -saving drugs of prestigious pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Glaxosmithkline (GSK) and Alchem. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Harsh Indora said that Syndicate used social media platforms to start contact with new suppliers and customers. The encrypted messaging was communicated through the platform and paid through fake accounts to avoid detection. Payments were made through transactions through mobile wallets and barcodes.

In the recovered mobile phone, contacts were detected with surnames like ‘Komal Ji Karnal’, ‘Amit Jain Skinshine Delhi,’ Pappi Bhaiya GKP ‘. This racket was spread in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

The investigation started after secret information about the consignment of fake medicines in Delhi. The DCP said that on July 30, a car was stopped at a petrol pump in Civil Lines. Two suspects of Moradabad Mohammad Alam and Mohammad Salim were caught carrying fake medicines. Rajesh Mishra, a resident of Gorakhpur, already had the experience of the pharmaceutical industry and coordinated production and distribution through benami accounts and encrypted apps. Parmanand, the owner of Lakshmi Maa Pharma in Jind, Haryana, used to run the main construction unit. Police has given 9,015 bullets of ultrasset (Johnson & Johnson), 6,100 bullets of Augmentin 625 (GSK), 1,200 bullets of PAN -40 (Elkem), 1,166 tubes of Bettovat -N Cream (GSK), 25,650 pills of Amoxicillin, 5,900 pills of PCM In addition to bullets, 74 boxes of steroid injection (cannacourt), 12,000 bullets of Proyco SPAS and Clavam 625, Girodol P, Pantop DSR, in addition to in addition to stocks of Kimotary Plus were recovered. Police has started an investigation to locate other members of Name Syndicate and financial network.
