According to media reports, the first government goods from Pakistan’s second most busy port Port Qasim left for Bangladesh. Rice will reach Bangladesh in two consignments
In fact, under this agreement between TCP i.e. Trading Corporation of Pakistan and Bangladeshi government, 50,000 tonnes of Pakistani rice will reach Bangladesh. According to media reports, the agreement was finalized in early February. According to the Pakistani Express Tribune News Paper, for the first time, the PNSC carrying government goods i.e. Pakistan National Shipping Corporation will do the ship at Bangladeshi port.
Also described it as an important milestone in marine trade relations. Under the deal, Bangladesh is going to get rice from Pakistan in two phases. The first batch has left and the second batch 25,000 tonnes of rice will be sent in March. Let us know that after the partition of 1971 with this deal, the first official business relationship between the two countries has been established.

The interim government of Bangladesh had made a peace proposal to the government of Shahbaz Sharif of Pakistan. Pakistan reacted positively to this proposal. This deal is being seen as a positive step towards promoting economic cooperation and reopening business channels which have been closed for decades. However, some experts say that there may be any tricks of Pakistan behind this deal whether it is just a rice deal, or a deep political conspiracy?
