Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia issued a statement and said that this is a very condemnable, but sudden incident. India is known for its hospitality and care. We have no tolerance for such incidents. We appreciate the state police for taking prompt action to arrest the culprit. He said that let the law take its course to punish the criminal. We assure you to revisit our security protocols whenever necessary to further tighten security. Apart from this, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association also expressed deep sorrow over this condemnable incident and said that no one should suffer such trauma.
