BCCI News: The Board of Control for Cricket in India will now come under the purview of the National Sports Bill. This information has come out through sources in the Sports Ministry. But financially it will not have to depend on the government.
BCCI News : The Krend government of India has today introduced the National Sports Administration Bill in Parliament. Although BCCI was out of the rules of the government to a large extent till now, but now after the introduction of the Sports Bill, it will have to get recognition from the National Sports Board. But despite this, BCCI will not depend on the government for financial assistance.
What is the purpose of the Bill?
This bill aim is to ensure good governance, fair selection, time bound elections and protecting the interests of the players within the sports associations. With this initiative, legal transparency will also be implemented on the country’s largest and influential sports body BCCI.
Bill introduced in Parliament
Please tell that Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia has introduced the National Sports Government Bill, 2025 in Parliament. While presenting the bill amidst the uproar of opposition members on different issues, Mandavia said that the bill has been brought to maintain the development and enhancement of sports, morality and fairness of the Olympic and sports operations and to resolve sports disputes.

Will have to take recognition
According to information received by the sources of the Sports Ministry, BCCI may not depend on financial help from the government, but it will have to get recognition from the proposed National Sports Board. Like all the national federations present in it, BCCI will also have to follow the law of the country after this bill is formed. They do not take financial help but the Act of Parliament applies to them.
What is the purpose of the Bill?
The purpose of this bill is to hold time -bound and fair elections in sports associations, administrative accountability and transparency, protecting the interests of players, creating a scope of financial discipline and reporting and immediately to find a fair solution to disputes.
