Pilgrimage to Pakistan: In the month of November, Guru Nanak Dev is the birth anniversary. On this occasion, CM Bhagwant Mann raised the demand that the Sikh batch should be allowed to go to the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara.
Pilgrimage to Pakistan : The Union Home Ministry has advised to prevent Sikh batches from going to Pakistan on the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. This information was released on September 12, claiming that the visit may threaten the safety of devotees after the Pahalgam terror attack. Meanwhile, after the match played on September 14, the issue erupted, after which political leaders and Sikh devotees questioned this instruction of the Center. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in this episode (CM Bhagwant Mann) Criticized the Central Government for preventing Sikh batches from going to Pakistan for the light festival celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev in November.
The safety of pilgrims threatens
At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson RP Singh retaliated and said that our citizens may be in danger of security in the neighboring country. He asked CM Mann that if something went wrong with an Indian pilgrim in Pakistan, then who would be responsible for it? The case is that Chief Minister Mann on Monday attacked the NDA government to approve the Asia Cup T20 cricket match between India and Pakistan, but in November to refuse to allow Sikh batch to be sent to Pakistan for Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary celebrations. On this, the BJP leader said that the Center has received such information that something can go wrong with pilgrims in Pakistan. On the current ban on the pilgrims’ visit to Pakistan, Singh said that security is threatened. He insisted that no country goes to Pakistan to play cricket.
Advice not to go to Pakistan
He said that many countries have issued advice to their citizens not to go to Pakistan for the purpose of tourism. Singh, while talking to reporters, said that those who are claiming that Indian pilgrims have been stopped are wrong. He said that the Kartarpur corridor is open only by the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP told CM Mann that if he can guarantee the safety of pilgrims going to Pakistan, then he should write a letter to the Center. Singh clarified that the Modi government had taken out Sikhs from Afghanistan. He further said that in whichever Indian is trapped, the Indian government first removes it and we do not want such a situation to come up once again. When he was asked about the India Pakistan match, he said that this is not a bilateral series but a multilateral series in which many countries are playing cricket. Also, this match was played in Dubai, not in Pakistan.
