Retail customers will not affect the pocket
According to the information, excise duty on petrol has been increased to Rs 13 per liter and diesel by Rs 10 per liter. But if you are a retail customer then there is no need to panic because this fee has been imposed on petroleum companies. This will not directly affect customers. The Ministry of Petroleum and Gas has informed that there will be no increase in retail prices of petrol and diesel after the increase in excise duty today.
What was said in the notification of the ministry
Talking about the price of petrol in the capital Delhi today, it is Rs 94.77 per liter. The notification issued by the Ministry states that under Section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 and Section 147 of the Finance Act, 2002, the fee has been increased by the Central Government. In the last few days, due to continuous fall in the prices of crude oil prices, petrol and diesel were expected to cut retail prices. But now because the government has reduced its chances due to increase in excise duty.
