In fact, in the Naxal -affected areas, two top Naxalite leaders have been killed in the encounter for many years. You will be surprised to know that both had a reward of 80 lakh rupees. This action is not only a great success of the security forces but is also considered a big victory in the fight against ‘Red Terror’.

Seized weapons

According to the police, the slain Naxalite leaders have been identified as Raju Dada alias Katta Ramchandra Reddy (63) and Kosa Dada alias Kadri Satyanarayana Reddy (67). Both were members of the Central Committee of CPI (Maoist). Apart from this, both of them were active in Bastar region through Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee for the last 30 years. The encounter took place in the forests of Abujhmad in Narayanpur district, which is adjacent to the border of Maharashtra. Sudden firing started during the search operation and the bodies of both were recovered after an encounter that lasted for several hours. An AK-47 rifle, an INSAS rifle, barrel grenade launcher, explosive and Maoist literature were also seized from the spot.

Large victory of security forces

Raju Dada and Kosa Dada were not just full names, but they had conspired for many violent incidents in Bastar. Not only security personnel but many common people have lost their lives in their attacks. This was the reason that both different states and agencies had rewarded crores of crores. IG Sundararaj P, IG of Bastar Range, said that this encounter is a big setback for the Maoist organization. He said that the rest of the Naxalites should leave the path of violence and surrender and take advantage of the government’s rehabilitation policy.

Amit Shah praised

Here, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has described it as a major victory of security forces. He said, ‘Our security forces are eliminating the top leadership of Naxalites and breaking the backbone of Red Terror.’ Let us tell you that so far 249 Naxalites have been killed in Chhattisgarh this year, out of which 220 have been piled up only in Bastar division. It is clear that the government and security forces are constantly dominating the stronghold of Naxalites. Anyway, the Red Terror has been shared on the land of Chhattisgarh for decades. However, now the picture seems to be changing.
