MCD Bypolls Results 2025: The results of by-elections on 12 wards of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have come. Bharatiya Janata Party has won 7 out of 12 wards. Whereas Aam Aadmi Party has won only 3 wards. Congress and All India Forward Bloc have got 1 ward each. The contest on all these seats was interesting. 51 candidates stood in this by-election, of which 26 were women and 25 were men. After winning a landslide victory in the assembly elections, BJP has got the maximum number of seats in the municipal by-elections. Know here who has won which ward.

The BJP won seven wards and AAP three, while the Congress and the All India Forward Bloc emerged victorious in one ward each in the MCD bypolls for 12 wards.

BJP’s seats decreased
Out of these 12 seats, 11 became vacant because their councilors became MLAs by winning the 2025 assembly elections. Dwarka-B seat became vacant last year when councilor Kamaljit Sehrawat became Lok Sabha MP. Shalimar Bagh-B seat became vacant after Chief Minister Rekha Gupta became MLA. Before the by-elections, 9 out of these 12 seats were with the Bharatiya Janata Party, which includes Shalimar Bagh-B, Dwarka-B, Greater Kailash, Dichaun Kalan, Naraina, Sangam Vihar-A, Vinod Nagar, Ashok Vihar and Mundka. Whereas AAP had three seats, which include Chandni Mahal, Chandni Chowk and Dakshinpuri. Now two seats of BJP have gone to the account of Congress and AIFB.
