Parties like Congress, SP, DMK, RJD, NCP and TMC are trying to use this bill against the BJP under the INDI alliance. These parties believe that this bill is part of the BJP’s anti -Muslim agenda and its purpose is to weaken the community.
BJP announced to celebrate ‘Waqf Independence Day’
BJP Minority Front National President Jamal Siddiqui said that it has been decided to celebrate the date of passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill, on April 3, as ‘Waqf Independence Day’. Under this, 65 thousand BJP officials and 38 lakh workers will go to Muslim settlements and run awareness campaign.
