Jammu-Kashmir Politics: Deputy Chief Minister Chaudhary said that we used to hear that BJP buys and steals votes, but the people of Jammu and Kashmir did not believe it. This time it has been proved that BJP is actually involved in vote theft.
Jammu-Kashmir Politics : Elections were held on four Rajya Sabha seats of Jammu and Kashmir, out of which National Conference won three and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed to capture one seat. There is now a lot of politics going on in the Union Territory regarding this and Congress has also entered on this issue. State Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary on Saturday alleged that BJP’s winning the Rajya Sabha seat from Jammu and Kashmir proves the allegations of vote theft against the party. Amid allegations and counter-allegations over cross-voting between non-BJP parties in the elections for a Rajya Sabha seat in the Union Territory, the Deputy CM said that the National Conference (NC) would prefer to leave the government rather than forging an alliance with the BJP.
Jammu and Kashmir people did not believe
Deputy Chief Minister Chaudhary said that we used to hear that BJP buys and steals votes, but the people of Jammu and Kashmir did not believe it. This time it has been proved that BJP is actually involved in vote theft. While talking to the media, he said that I will not say how he did it, whether money was invested in it or not, but whatever happened, he got some votes to win. Congress is alleging that BJP and the Election Commission have colluded to steal votes to win the elections. The Congress deputy CM, who campaigned with National Conference candidate Shamim Begum for the Nagrota by-election, said the BJP had only 28 members, but their candidate got 32 votes. Now the question is, from where did he get four extra votes?
no one can stop me from speaking the truth
Surinder Singh said that the National Conference has not given votes in exchange for money and has not promised anything else. He stressed that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been saying from the beginning that BJP is going to do horse-trading of MLAs. His statements have become relevant now, when MLAs have been bought in the Rajya Sabha elections. He said that we can leave the government, but cannot form an alliance with BJP at any cost. We were supposed to win all four seats but because of some traitors we lost one seat. The Deputy CM said that he is not afraid of speaking the truth and he will continue to raise such voice against BJP. Chaudhary said that those who are blaming the National Conference for the defeat of the fourth Rajya Sabha seat are doing so to hide their actions from the public.
