The official said, “We are monitoring more stolen areas and working on improving the recovery rate.” He said that thieves often study the parking habits of vehicle owners. The official said, “In some cases, cars are left unclaimed for several hours near the metro pillars or ATMs. In an incident, a bank employee left his car at 9 am and returned at around 6 pm, then found it missing. The thieves take advantage of such methods. The SUV is usually targeted due to his more recylers value.” The zipnet developed by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) is a centralized database used by the police departments to locate stolen vehicles, missing persons and unknown bodies in states and union territories.
