Wakf Amendment Act 2025 : Supreme Court (Supreme Court) Waqf Amendment Act 2025 (Wakf Amendment Act 2025) Hearing a petition filed against him, a notice was issued to the Center. Law prepared after JPC’s suggestions
The central government has said that the maximum member number is 22 in the Waqf Parishad or Board and 2 non-Muslims have been included in it. This is a solution in which it represents inclusion and the Waqf does somehow interfere in administration. The Center further said that the government land mentioned intentionally or accidentally mentioned as Waqf properties is being identified to correct the revenue records and no government land can be declared the property of any religious community. Meanwhile, it has been said on behalf of the Center that the law made by Parliament has been made after advice in JPC. The government said that Waqf is not a religious institution but a legal body.
The Center said a great talk about the law
The central government said in the Supreme Court that according to the Waqf Amendment Act, the religion of Mutavalli is secular and not religious. He further said that this law has been made by targeting public representatives and he has passed it in Parliament. Before bringing this bill to the Lok Sabha, there were about 36 meetings of the Joint Parliamentary Committee and more than 97 lakh people have participated and suggested. The committee visited 10 big cities of the country and a report has been prepared by communicating between the people.
