ICC Women’s ODI World Cup Schedule: The Women’s World Cup 2025 is to be held in the joint host of India and Sri Lanka this year. During this time a total of 8 teams are going to participate in it. It is going to start from 30 September. But before this, the ICC has made some changes in their schedule. In this episode, now the match on the ground of M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore has now been shifted to the grounds of Navi Mumbai.
Why did the schedule change?
Let us tell you here that this year the title of IPL was won by RCB. RCB players came together at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore to celebrate the victory. There was a horrific crowd to see them, after which there was a stampede there. During this time 11 people lost their lives. Now only after this, the ICC has decided not to match the Bangalore ground.
There will be a competition on Mumbai ground
The first match of the Women’s World Cup 2025 is going to start from 30 September. The match between India and Sri Lanka was to be held on the grounds of Bengaluru, which now woke up on the ground of Guhawahi. At the same time, the match against England between South Africa was to be played on October 3, which will be played in Guhawati.
There are no changes in dates
However, even though changes have been made in the place, the dates of the tournament have not changed. India and Sri Lanka will do the first match of the World Cup. Now the names of five grounds for the World Cup have been approved by ACA Stadium (Guwahati), Holkar Stadium (Indore), DY Patil Stadium (Navi Mumbai), ADA-VDCA Stadium (Visakhapatnam) and R Premdasa Stadium (Colombo).
