LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has prepared a plan to recognize Purvanchal in readymade garments. The clothes made here will be exported abroad. At least five garranting parks will be set up on the side of the expressway being built by the 50 km perip of Jewar Airport in Gautam Budh Nagar and the expressway being built by Eupida (Uttar Pradesh Express-Way Industrial Development Authority).
Gorakhpur included in ODOP scheme
Woke up as the center of the readymade garments sector, especially the East of the state. After terracotta in Gorakhpur district, readymade garments have been included in a district one product scheme (ODOP) in Gorakhpur. A flasted factory complex has been built in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority Area (Gida) for Textile Park, which will have textile units. Also, an Integrated Textile and Apparel Industrial Park is being set up in Agra district.
With the implementation of these ambitious schemes, Uttar Pradesh will get opportunities to play a leading role in the country in the field of industrial production, employment and exports. Bangladesh’s political instability can also prove to be an opportunity for the country’s textile industry. Currently, India is number six in the world in the export of clothes. This is also the sector of the six employable areas that the central government has identified for export.

Apart from this, there are other sectors, agriculture and its associated areas, engineering products, pharma, electronics, chemical, leather and cloth. Under the scheme, the government’s focus is on increasing their exports. For this, the countries that the Center has considered capable and potential markets is the US, Australia, Brazil, Bangladesh, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, South Korea, Britain and Vietnam. It is known that world -class textile park is being developed under the PM Mitra Yojana of the Government of India.
