Nitish government has recruited 19,838 posts of constables in Bihar Police and Bihar Special Armed Police. Candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website. The online application process for this recruitment will start from March 18. The last date to apply has been set as April 18.
Interested candidates are mandatory to pass intermediate (10+2). Apart from this, the Maulvi certificate issued by the Madrasa Board of Bihar State Government, Shastri (including English) or Acharya (English) certificate issued by Bihar Sanskrit Board will also be valid. Other equivalent educational qualifications recognized by the state government will also be applicable to this post. The age of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of birth date recorded in matriculation (10th) or equivalent certificate. The age limit for general category (non-reserved) is kept from 18 to 25 years.
Backward class and extremely backward class (male) will have 2 years exemption i.e. maximum age will be 27 years, while backward class and extremely backward class (female) will have 3 years relaxation i.e. maximum age will be 28 years. Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (Male and Female) and Transgender candidates will have a 5 -year discount i.e. maximum age 30 years. All reserved class home guards will get an additional discount of 5 years in the maximum age limit.
7,935 posts have been held for unreserved
A total of 19,838 posts will be filled in Bihar Police Constable Recruitment. There are 7,935 posts for non -union, while 1,983 for the economically weaker section (EWS), 3,174 for Scheduled Castes (SC), 199 for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 3,571 for extremely backward class (EBC), 2,381 for Backward Class (BC) and 595 posts for women of backward classes. Apart from this, 6,717 posts have been reserved under horizontal reservation for women and 397 posts have been reserved for the dependents of freedom fighters. Level-3 (21,700-69,100) will be given to selected soldiers under this recruitment.
