Ladakh Violence: On Wednesday, four people died and more than 80 people were injured in widespread clashes in Leh. There were arson and clashes on the roads.
Ladakh violence: Curfew was imposed on Thursday in violence affected Leh. Police and paramilitary forces took at least 50 people into custody while strictly followed by curfew. The agitation here on Wednesday became violent to demand state status to Ladakh and during this time there was arson and clashes on the roads. Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk ended her hunger strike for 15 days after taking violent form of continuing agitation for giving Ladakh status to Ladakh and expanding the sixth schedule. The youth branch of Leh Apex Body (LAB) called for protests and bandh as two of the 15 people sitting on a 35 -day hunger strike from September 10 were admitted to the hospital after the condition deteriorated on Tuesday evening.
Next conversation with government on October 6
The gathering of five or more individuals has also been banned in several major cities, including Kargil, where the shutdown was called by the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) in support of Wangchuk, who was leading the hunger strike. The protesters set the BJP office and several vehicles on fire. Also, the ‘Hill Council’ was vandalized at the headquarters, due to which indefinite curfew was imposed in the city. A police officer told PTI that the situation in curfew areas is completely under control. There is no news of any untoward incident from anywhere. The official said that there are three Nepal citizens among the injured and the police is investigating whether there are foreign hands behind the violence. LAB and KDA have been leading the movement for the last four years and their demands for expansion of state status and the sixth schedule. He has had several rounds of talks with the central government. The next round of talks are to be held on October 6.
Paramilitary forces landed on the road

Wangchuk appealed for peace
