A surprising case has come to light in Alwar district of Rajasthan. According to the news agency PTI, the truck of Kanwari was hit by an electric wire in which two people died.
Rajasthan: On Wednesday, a truck full of kanwadi was hit by a hanging wire in a village in Alwar district of Rajasthan. Two people died and 30 others were injured in this accident, which was informed by a police officer. Police said that a group of kanwadi and local people were revolving around the beegaon in the DJ truck, when the vehicle was hit by electric wire. After the parikrama, the group had to go towards a temple. Police officer said, “Two people have died and about 30 people are injured.” He further said that the condition of three of the injured is said to be critical. The deceased have been identified as Gopal (22) and Suresh Prajapat (40), who are both residents of Beachgaon.
Video surfaced on social media
A video of this incident has surfaced on social media. In this, a group of devotees are seen dancing, and many devotees running near the truck suddenly fell on the ground. In a few seconds, many devotees, including women, were hit by the overhead wire. The devotees were immediately taken to nearby hospitals, where two were declared dead. After the incident, angry local people staged a protest by blocking the Laxmangarh-Mundawar road.
Local residents made these allegations
Local people alleged that the complaint of loose electric wires was made to the authorities, but no action was taken. He accused the electricity department of negligence. A villager said, “Despite many warnings, the department did not take any corrective action.” The protest that lasted for about five hours ended after the consent between the villagers and the local administration. Tehsildar Mamta Kumari of Laxmangarh said that she is not aware of any such complaint. However, the administration assured the villagers that the injured would be provided with proper medical facilities and a detailed investigation into the cause of the incident. Residents of Beachgaon said that the local people take out the Kandar Yatra every year and the yatra reached the outskirts of the village on Tuesday night. Forest Minister and MLA from Alwar city Sanjay Sharma met the victims in the government hospital in Alwar and came to know about their well being. The matter is expected to catch a lot of fire.
