Cyber ​​attack on Gujarat government website, youth arrested

The ATS said that the two accused had attacked about 50 websites of various central and state departments like defense, finance and aviation using ‘DDOS’ tools in the last six months.

Gujarat: After Operation Sindoor, there was a stir in the government due to a cyber attack on Gujarat’s official website. The accused had earlier tried to close about 50 government websites in six months using the hacking tool and posted the screenshot of these websites with anti -India messages on their telegram group. Gujarat ATS became active as soon as the information of cyber attack was received. During the investigation, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested an 18-year-old youth on Tuesday.

Accused hails from Nadiad in Kheda district

The accused, along with a minor, was involved in closing about 20 government websites after Operation Sindoor. An official of the Gujarat Anti -Terrorism Squad said that the ATS has arrested Jasim Ansari, who lives in Nadiad in Kheda district. A day earlier, an FIR was lodged against him and his minor friend on charges of cyber terrorism. ATS Deputy Inspector General of Police Sunil Joshi said that a case was registered against both under sections 43 and 66 (F) of the Information Technology Act. Which is related to crimes related to cyber terrorism.

Anti -India posts used to do anti -India posts named ‘Anonsec’

ATS said that the accused had posted the screenshot of these websites with anti -India messages on their telegram group. Earlier, the accused Ansari tried to close about 50 government websites in six months using the hacking tool. For example, “Hi India. The accused wrote in their post that we have just shut down your financial shield and server. A ATS official said that on receiving information about a telegram group named ‘anonsec’, an ATS team had focused on Ansari and his friend. His activities were detected. The ATS said that the two accused had attacked about 50 websites of various central and state departments like defense, finance and aviation in the last six months.
