Senior Superintendent of Police of Dibrugarh VV Rakesh Reddy said that we have arrested four people in connection with the murder of Uttam Gogoi. His wife, daughter and two others were arrested and brought to Borbarua police station for investigation.
Dibrugarh (assam): Police on Sunday arrested a woman, her daughter and two others on charges of killing a person in Dibrugarh district of Assam. According to a senior police officer, the police arrested four people in connection with the alleged murder of Uttam Gogoi alias Sankai, who was found dead at his residence in Lahon village in Jamira. Senior Superintendent of Police of Dibrugarh VV Rakesh Reddy said that we have arrested four people in connection with the murder of Uttam Gogoi. His wife, daughter and two others were arrested and brought to Borbarua police station for investigation. He said that the daughter of the deceased person has confessed to committing crime.
Daughter’s friend took betel nut
Reddy said that we are investigating the case and according to the law, we will take action against them all. Residents of Barbarua protested in front of Barbarua police station demanding a tough punishment against the killers. Another senior police officer said that one of the accused is a friend of the woman’s daughter, who is a minor and a student of class 9. It was a long -term plan to kill the man. The accused had planned to kill him earlier, but it did not succeed in any way. He eventually managed to kill him in July. We are investigating to find out the exact cause of murder.
Brother said-accused got severe punishment
The brother of the deceased Gogoi said that he was told at around 8.30 am on July 25 that Uttam had brain hemorrhage. I immediately went to his house and found that Uttam had died. We also included a mother in a piece of her ear, and the umbrella was opened. We thought it was a robbery incident when we saw the cut marks on his ear. The brother said that it was a pre -planned murder. We want severe punishment against our brother’s killers. According to police officials, Gogoi’s wife and minor daughter conspired to kill two contract killers. Both are under 18 years of age. A policeman said that the killers were reportedly given several lakh rupees and gold jewelery to commit crimes.
