The draft states that registration of new CNG auto rickshaws will be stopped after August 15, 2025.

Recommendation to remove CNG autorickshaw

The draft of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2.0 recommends the removal of CNG -powered autorickshaw. The Delhi government can announce this policy soon. At the same time, according to the draft of EV Policy 2.0, no CNG autorickshaw will be allowed from August 15 this year.

Plan to close two -wheelers

Please tell here that after August 15, 2026 in Delhi, no new petrol, diesel or CNG two -wheelers will be registered. The new bike-scooters will now be only electric. In such a situation, the aim of the government is to prevent carbon emissions from two-wheelers and eliminate it completely.

Three-wheelers will also be banned

Not only this, new registration of three-wheelers will also be banned from August 15, 2025. At the same time, four-wheelers picking up garbage will be fully electric by December 31, 2027. With this, green change will also begin in the commercial transport sector of the capital.

Strike on private cars and buses

At the same time, if someone already has two vehicles and wants to buy a third car, then it can only be EV. At the same time, only electric buses will run on the streets of Delhi. Diesel buses will run only on the interstate route. Currently, the entire policy is in the draft stage and it will be sent to all stakeholders.
