After heavy rains, Chamoli district of Uttarakhand is once again wreaking havoc. Many houses have been completely damaged due to heavy rains in Pali and during this time 7 people are reported missing. District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari’s statement

With this, the District Magistrate of Chamoli Sandeep Tiwari believed that 6 houses have been completely destroyed in the Kuntari Lanfli ward of Nandanagar. He further said that the relief and rescue teams have taken 2 people out safely. At the same time, there has been heavy loss due to cloudburst in Dhurma village. Due to heavy rains, vehicles, shops and houses have been hit by debris. On receiving the information of the accident, the team of SDRF, NDRF and Tehsil administration have left for the spot and are engaged in rescue work.

Let us know that earlier in Dehradun and many other parts of the state, cloudburst and overnight rains caused heavy havoc. Due to this, the river-drains were in spate. The rich rivers shed buildings, roads and bridges. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the next 20 hours for today. This alert is a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the state, due to which landslides and water levels are expected to rise.
