Bihar Election: Both Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhupendra Yadav come from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and are among the most experienced election managers of the BJP.
Bihar Election: The BJP on Thursday appointed Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhupendra Yadav as its in -charge for Bihar and Bengal assembly elections respectively. The two leaders are the leading OBC face and the most experienced election manager of the party. Making some important appointments for the three election states to be held next year, the BJP nominated Baijayant ‘Jai’ Panda, one of its vice -presidents, its in -charge for the assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, where he is a junior ally of AIADMK. Bihar elections are expected to be held in November, while elections are expected in March-April 2026 in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. A BJP statement said that Union Minister CR Patil, who is the head of the party’s Gujarat unit and is known as a competent organization, and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has been nominated for the Bihar election.
Keshav Prasad Maurya became co-content of Bihar
Both Pradhan and Yadav come from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and are among the most experienced election managers of BJP. Maurya is also from the OBC caste, while Deb is a Bengali, one aspect that can be politically helpful for the party in the states assigned to them. While Pradhan was in charge of Haryana elections, Yadav played a similar role for the Maharashtra elections to be held in 2024 and the BJP won a stunning victory in both the states. The formal appointment of Pradhan for Bihar elections has been very close to elections, but he has been involved in the affairs of the state. He was the co-content of the party in the 2010 Bihar elections, when the BJP-JD (U) alliance won its biggest victory. He was also in charge of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Karnataka assembly elections, while Yadav had oversee elections in other states including Bihar and Gujarat in the past.
Elections next year in Kerala, Assam and Puducherry
The BJP’s national leadership plays a central role in shaping the party’s campaign for the assembly elections. Therefore, election in -charge plays an important role in implementing the party’s strategies at the ground level with state leaders. Co-interaction helps them to apply the agenda. While the BJP is trying to maintain power with its main ally Janata Dal (United) in Bihar, it is expected to make a dent in the Trinamool Congress stronghold in West Bengal, where it has emerged as the main challenge for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, which will complete 15 years till the next election. The BJP remains a marginal player in Tamil Nadu, who is trying to form a strong alliance under the leadership of AIADMK to compete with the ruling DMK. Panda was the party’s election in -charge for the Delhi elections this year, when the BJP returned to power in the Union Territory after more than 25 years. Along with West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, assembly elections will be held in Kerala, Assam and Puducherry next year.
