Tamil Nadu News : Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udayanidhi Stalin (Udhayanidhi Stalin) On Friday, DMK told about the government’s plans on which areas have the most focus. He said that our government is constantly working hard to protect the rights of the disabled through education, employment and Kalayaniya schemes. At the same time, the government is working on various ways to improve the lives of the disabled. Udayanidhi said that the Tamil Nadu government has provided education to the disabled from Rs 2 thousand to Rs 1 lakh for school and higher education and is also taking serious steps about their sports.
Gave an amount of Rs 25 crore to athletes
Udayanidhi said in a statement that we have so far provided an amount of up to Rs 25 crore to about 200 Divyang students through the Tamil Nadu Champions Foundation to participate in sports competitions organized abroad. Similarly, our government has so far given Rs 25 crore as prize money to 200 athletes who have won medals in national and international competitions. He said that the Chief Minister has provided employment opportunities to Divyang athletes and only last year the government gave jobs to 5 Divyang. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has set a target of giving government jobs to 20 disabled athletes from the sports department.
840 low-floor buses started for Divyang
Earlier, he distributed the equipment distribution including artificial legs and battery -powered four -wheelers to 300 disabled people under Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Udayanidhi said that the state government is paying great attention to improving the situation of the disabled. He reminded that the government recently started 840 low-floor buses throughout Tamil Nadu for the benefit of this class. He explicitly stated that the Dravidian model government is also working in various ways to protect the rights of the disabled. Apart from this, DMK has started a new wing for the disabled.
