PM Modi paid tribute to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam: On July 26, former President of the country and missile man Dr. A.P.J. On the death anniversary of Abdul Kalam, the whole country paid tribute to him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remembering Dr. Kalam on social media, described him as an ‘inspirational thinker’, ‘excellent scientist’ and ‘great patriot’. He said that Kalam’s ideas still inspire the younger generation of India towards the creation of a developed and strong nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X, “Tribute to our dear former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary. He is remembered as an inspiring thinker, excellent scientist, guide and great patriot. His dedication to the nation was exemplary.” He further said, “His views motivate the youth of India to contribute to the creation of a developed and strong country.”

Dr. Kalam was the President of the people

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. During his tenure, he rose above party politics and played the role of an ideal state. His simple life, deep thinking and association with the public made him the ‘President of the people’.

Important contribution in science and nation building

Dr. Kalam is known as ‘Missile Man of India’. He led several ambitious projects in DRDO and ISRO. His role in the development of missiles like Prithvi, Agni and Trishul was decisive. He also played an important role in the success of Pokhran Nuclear Testing (1998), which established India as a strong nuclear power globally.

Inspiration of youth

Kalam believed that if a country is to be changed, then the youth should start. He addressed countless students, wrote books and inspired him by his experiences. His books “Wings of Fire” and “India 2020” are still very popular among the youth.
