DRDO and Navy successfully tested indigenous Migm Mine

Migm: Migm’s successful test is not only a technical achievement for India, but also a very important step in terms of strategic balance. This shows that India is now fully prepared not only on the surface but also in the depths of the sea to protect its borders.

MIGM : India’s defense system has got a new success. The Defense Research and Development Organization and the Indian Navy have jointly strengthened the country’s maritime defense capabilities by successfully testing the multi influence ground mine (MIGM). This state -of -the -art mine contains a variety of sensors, which is able to identify the activities of enemy vessels under water and neutralize them. Through this test, India has once again taken a significant step towards self -sufficiency, expressing confidence in indigenous technology. This indigenous technology can prove to be one of the most trusted weapons of the Indian Navy in the future.

Strike will attack under water

The Migm i.e. Multi Influence Ground Mine has been developed keeping in mind the needs of modern underwater war. This mine is hidden under the sea surface and as soon as an enemy ship or submarine enters its area, the advanced sensors in it recognize their activities. After that it makes them inactive by explosion, hitting the accurate target.
This technique will be very effective, especially in those areas where there is a possibility of infiltration of enemy submarines. Its functioning is more accurate, automatic and effective than traditional mines. This mine developed by DRDO is now going to give a new strategic depth to the power of the Indian Navy.

Main made of indigenous technology

Migm has been constructed completely with indigenous technology. In this, domestic companies like Bharat Dynamics Limited and Apollo Microsystams have given technical support. This mine is not only technical modern, but it also gives impetus to ‘Make in India’ initiative due to its manufacture and production in India.

With this success, India is now moving firmly towards becoming self -sufficient in the field of underwater defense system. Earlier, the country had to depend on abroad for this type of high -level technology, but now under the leadership of DRDO, India is becoming able to fulfill its needs itself. This will not only increase self -reliance in the defense sector, but will also save foreign currency.

A big change will come in the security of Jalsima- Defense Minister

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the DRDO and the Indian Navy on the success of this test. Describing it as a strategic achievement, he said that this mine would prove to be an effective and modern weapon for the protection of India’s Jalasima.
The Defense Minister also said in his statement that “India is now developing a new generation security system, leaving behind traditional war techniques, in which the role of marine security is very important. A system like Migm will play a decisive role in stopping the infiltration of enemies in our Jalasima.” He described this project as a symbol of talent and technical efficiency of Indian scientists.
