At the same time, Bihar Chief Electoral Officer will share state experiences in the implementation of SIR. After taking over as the Chief Election Commissioner of Gyanesh Kumar, he is meeting at the CEO level for the third time. However, officials said that the meeting running throughout the day of Wednesday is important as the preparations for SIR are being discussed across the country.

SIR will start from these states after Bihar

The Election Commission said that after Bihar SIR will be implemented across the country. It is being told that this process will start before the assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal at the end of this year. The main objective of this intensive amendment is to examine the birthplace of foreign illegal migrants and take them out. This step is important in view of action against illegal foreign migrants in various states including Bangladesh and Myanmar. Finally, the Election Authority will start the SIR in the whole country to discharge its constitutional obligation to protect the integrity of the voter list. Under the intensive review, Election Officer will go door-to-door verification to ensure flawless voter list. At the same time, allegations are being made by the opposition that the BJP is manipulating voter data on the Election Commission, the Election Commission should take additional steps under a thorough review.

These documents will have to be presented

Explain that an additional manifesto has been presented for a category of candidates wishing to become an electoral or a category of applicants coming from outside the state. They have to give the affidavit that he was born in India before July 1, 1987 and will have to submit any documents confirming the date of birth or birth place. One of the options listed in the manifesto is that he was born between 1 July 1987 and 2 December 2004. They will also have to submit documents about the birth date/place of their parents. But opposition parties have targeted the Bihar voter list amendment, they claim that crores of eligible citizens will be denied the right to vote in the absence of documents.
