EC should not use objectionable language: Qureshi

EC has rejected allegations of vote theft

The former Chief Election Commissioner criticized the Election Commission (EC) for the method of special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar and said that it is not only to open a box of Bhanumati but the Election Commission has put a hand in the hive of the beetled. On the other hand, the Election Commission has completely rejected the allegation of vote theft in the past. The Commission also said that the SIR of the voter list in Bihar will be removed from the voter list, unqualified people, duplicate entries will be removed from the voter list and according to the law, eligible people will also be included for voting. Qureshi further said that whenever I hear the criticism of the Election Commission, I am sad to hear such a thing as an Election Commissioner, apart from the Indian citizen.

Keep the doors open for the opposition

Qureshi said that whenever I see the organization being attacked or weakened, I am very worried. Now the Election Commission will also have to be worried with introspection. It is up to them to face all the forces and pressures that are affecting their decision. Qureshi said that the Election Commission will have to win the trust of the people and also satisfy opposition parties. He told that when I was the Election Commissioner, I always worked to give priority to the opposition parties, because they are weak. Qureshi further said that the ruling party does not need love like opposition, because the opposition is already out of power. Also, my employees were generally instructed to keep the doors open if they want time to get (opposition).
