Haryana News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Friday that India has made significant progress in the dairy sector in the last 11 years. He said that it has increased by 70 percent during this period and now it is the fastest growing area in the world. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 70 percent has been expanded in terms of capacity in India’s dairy sector. Shah said after inaugurating the newly constructed suede dairy plant at Rohtak’s Industrial Model Township that India’s dairy region is growing fastest in the world. Built at a cost of Rs 325 crore, this plant will have state -of -the -art machinery. Thousands of jobs will be created directly and indirectly from the industry. The newly revered suede dairy plant is the largest production center in the country for curd, buttermilk and yogurt. Which has the capacity to make 150 metric tonnes of yogurt, 3 lakh liters of buttermilk, 10 lakh liters of curd and 10 metric tonnes of sweets per day.
Cooperative society will be held in every panchayat
Shah, who also has the Cooperative Department, said that in the last four years, this ministry has laid a strong foundation of the cooperative system with all the state governments. Shah said that I want to assure you that by 2029 there will not be a single panchayat in the country in which there is no cooperative society. He said that milk production has increased from 146 million tonnes to 239 million tonnes. Shah said that eight crore farmers are connected to the dairy area and the availability of per capita milk, which was earlier 124 grams, has now become 471 grams. He further said that during the last 11 years, there have been many changes in the dairy sector, due to which farmers have become prosperous. He also said that India has emerged as top milk producers in the world. Shah also mentioned the White Revolution 2.0 initiative and said that by 2028-29, the purchase of milk by dairy cooperatives by dairy cooperatives is expected to increase from the current level to 1,007 lakh kg per day.
The state -of -the -art plant will be in Sabar Dairy
He said that we will also develop a system from which the world’s most modern plants in the country are in India. Meanwhile, about the new plant of Sabar Dairy here, Shah said that it will meet the needs of the entire National Capital Region and Northern States. The Sabar Dairy provides service to farmers of Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He further said that it will have access everywhere in Haryana, which will increase the income of farmers. Gujarat Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh and Krishnapal, Gujarat Minister Bhikhusinh Parmar, Sabar Dairy President Shamlabhai B Patel, Amul President Ashok Chaudhary, Haryana Minister Arvind Sharma, Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli were present on the occasion.
