LUCKNOW: The initiative and schemes of the Yogi government regarding the safety of daughters and women of the state have once again emerged as role models for different states. The Delhi government has decided to set up a courtesy squad on the lines of the anti -Romeo squad of the Yogi government to curb the safety and oppression of women. This squad will act like the anti -Romeo squad of UP.
It may be known that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formed an anti -Romeo squad in the state for strict action against the people and the prunes. DGP Prashant Kumar said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an anti -Romeo squad was formed to take action against the people and the prunes. For this, women and male policemen were deployed separately in every police station of the state. The policemen involved in this were to patrol the schools, colleges, main markets, temples, crowded places and talk to daughters and women and make them aware about security.
Also, strict action was to be taken against the people. DGP informed that on the instructions of CM Yogi, a campaign is being carried out by anti -Romeo squad all over the state. He informed that under the campaign, 4,00,58,562 persons have been checked at 1,08,85,450 places from 22 March 2017 to 5 February 2025. At the same time, action was taken against 32,291 persons while registering 24,009 prosecution during the campaign, while 1,47,04,311 persons were released by warning.
