The Special Cell of Delhi Police has reached the spot and started investigation. Police and security personnel have cordoned off the Red Fort area. Police have closed the road from all sides. 10 fire tenders are engaged in extinguishing the fire. Let us tell you that the Red Fort area is one of the most busy and densely populated areas of Delhi. According to the Delhi Fire Department, an explosion was reported in a car parked near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort metro station, after which three to four vehicles parked nearby also caught fire. The explosion was so powerful that the windows of vehicles parked several meters away were broken and its sound was also heard in nearby buildings in the crowded area. A senior Delhi Fire Service official said that the explosion occurred in a car parked near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort metro station. Its intensity was quite high. There is a possibility of people getting injured. After the loud explosion, panic spread in the area as many vehicles were seen damaged on the spot. An eyewitness told that I was in the Gurudwara when I heard a loud noise. He said that many vehicles parked nearby were completely damaged.
