Morbi (Gujarat): Four people died in a horrific accident in Morbi district of Gujarat on Thursday night. As soon as the information of the accident was received, the administration and police officials reached the spot. The police started relief and rescue operations with the help of local people. The accident took place near Haripar village. As soon as the information of the accident was received, a wave of mourning spread throughout the village. There was a shout in the family. Everyone was sad to see the atmosphere there. Hundreds of people came to console the house of the dead. The stove did not burn in people’s homes. Two heavy vehicles and a car collided on the highway, in which four people, including two students, were burnt to death.
Accident took place near Haripar village
A police official said that the accident took place on a national highway near Haripar village at around 11 am on Thursday night. Superintendent of Police Rahul Tripathi said that a container came on the road from the wrong direction and overturned, causing a fierce collision in a truck and car face to face and the car caught fire. He said that prima facie, after hitting a truck running next to the car, there was a fierce fire in the car. The truck also caught fire due to the collision. Four people, including two students lost their lives in the accident. The police officer said that two students in the car and two people in the truck were among the dead.
Students were going to their hometown Kutch
Superintendent of Police Rahul Tripathi said that students of a boarding school in Junagadh were going to their hometown in Kutch district. An official of the Morbi Fire Department said that seven other people were moderately injured and they were rescued by fire department employees and admitted to a private hospital. An official of the Malia Miana Police Station said that the dead include car rider Rudra Gujariya (15), Jamin Babaria (17) and Shivram Nai resident of Bikaner, Rajasthan, while another victim is yet to be identified. Police said that the bodies have been sent to Rajkot for post -mortem and the investigation of the case is going on.
