Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented extensive precautionary measures for the safety of citizens amidst the scorching heat and scorching heat in different parts of the state. After the warning of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in the event of frequent heat stroke, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the Relief Commissioner’s Office and Health Department to issue alert and protect the citizens. During the last 48 hours, the day temperature crossed 40 degrees Celsius and the mercury touched 45 degrees in some places.
Cover the body properly and come out
Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Health Department has issued guidelines for the purpose of raising awareness about the prevention of heatstroke. These guidelines provide practical advice about avoiding exposure to excessive heat, maintaining water scarcity and identifying early symptoms of heat related diseases. Educational posters and leaflets are also being distributed throughout the state. Principal Secretary of Health Department Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma confirmed that Adityanath has directed the officials to spread the guidelines required to protect the residents from extreme heat and heat. The guidelines recommend to cover the body properly and choose light colored, ventilated clothes when they get out.

Warn to consume stale food
In addition, at home or workplace, it is suggested to use curtains or sheds to prevent direct sunlight so that the interiors remain cool. Special warnings have been released for sensitive groups including children, elderly and unhealthy people. The public has been advised to avoid getting out between 12 noon and 4 pm when the temperature is usually at its peak. The guidelines have also been warned of consuming excessive protein or stale food on an empty stomach and strictly forbidden on leaving children or animals alone in vehicles parked in the sun. Reduction in consumption of alcohol, tea, coffee and carbonated beverages has also been recommended.
Take medical help immediately if there is difficulty in breathing, headache
The Health Department has distributed posters detailing the symptoms of heat related diseases, including the body temperature exceeding 40 ° C, red and dry skin, dizziness, muscle weakness, shortness of breathing, headache, anxiety, nausea or vomiting. In cases where these symptoms appear, immediate action such as taking the affected person to a shady place, providing cold water, bathing with cold water and calling emergency medical aid without delay, etc. have been advised.

Workers should be done in the morning or in the evening
The Health Department has said that construction workers should be allowed to go to regular brakes and cold and shady places, and to avoid more heat, heavy work should be determined in the morning or evening. Children should be prevented from playing outside during the afternoon heat. They should be dressed loose, light clothes and encouraged to drink enough water. The Health Department and the National Health Mission jointly appealed to the public to be cautious during the ongoing heat wave and see immediate medical help at the nearest health center or call ambulance service 108 if they see serious symptoms.
