FIR on Raj Shekhawat: An FIR has been registered against Kshatriya Karni Sena (KKS) President Raj Shekhawat in Raipur. A case has been registered against Shekhawat for threatening the police and making inflammatory comments on social media. During a ‘Facebook Live’ broadcast on November 10, Shekhawat had threatened Raipur Police over the arrest of local resident Virendra Singh Tomar. Virendra Singh is the vice president of KSS and president of Chhattisgarh unit.

Shekhawat was heard saying that he would “enter the houses” of police officers and ministers involved in the action against Tomar. Shekhawat claimed that several officials had committed wrongdoing and warned that members of the Kshatriya community would soon march to Raipur in large numbers to protest. He said he would inform about the place and time and community members should come with sticks and saffron flags.

Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Lal Umed Singh said that based on the complaint of Inspector Yogesh Kashyap, an FIR was registered against him at Maudhapara police station on Saturday. Singh said Shekhawat has been booked under sections 296 (obscene acts), 224 (threatening to cause hurt to a public servant) and 351 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) for allegedly using threatening words against police officers. He further said that investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Criminal cases against Virendra Singh Tomar
Raipur Police arrested Virendra Singh Tomar from Gwalior and brought him to Raipur on November 9 after being absconding for six months. After his arrest, he was paraded on the streets of Raipur. Virendra Singh Tomar and his brother Rohit Tomar are accused in several cases of assault, illegal property transactions, possession of illegal weapons and extortion worth crores of rupees in Telibandha and Purani Basti police stations of Raipur. Officials said that efforts are on to nab the absconding Rohit Tomar.
Raj Shekhawat enraged by taking action
Inspector Kashyap, currently posted in Kabirdham district, has said in the complaint that during his tenure as in-charge of Purani Basti police station, Raipur from March 16, 2024 to September 11, 2025, he had taken action against alleged local criminals including Virendra Singh alias Ruby Tomar, Rohit Singh Tomar and their associates. He said that this action was taken after the victims lodged a written complaint. According to the complaint, on November 10, Shekhawat used abusive language and issued threats in his Facebook live broadcast.
