Five people lost their lives due to lightning in Uttar Pradesh

In some parts of Uttar Pradesh, five people died in Firozabad, Siddharth Nagar and Sitapur districts due to rains on Thursday.

Lucknow: In some parts of Uttar Pradesh, five people died in Firozabad, Siddharth Nagar and Sitapur districts due to rains on Thursday. Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Vishu Raja, additional Firozabad, said that two people died due to lightning in the district. 30 -year -old pregnant Lalita Devi died due to lightning in Daulatpur village of Narkhi area, while a 32 -year -old stop Veer Singh died in Chinari village of Jasrana area.

Financial assistance will be given to the family of the deceased: ADM

The ADM said that financial assistance will be given to the family members of the deceased on behalf of the government. Apart from this, laborers Ghanshyam (40) died due to lightning in Siddharthnagar. Officials said that the incident took place in Gaura Mangua village when the laborer was going for work in rain. Two people died in different incidents due to strong thunderstorms and lightning in Sitapur. Harishchandra (25) died due to lightning while working in a farm in Moch Khurd village of Biswan police station area, while 55 -year -old Kusuma Devi died after a wall collapsed due to heavy rains in Rasulpur village of Sakran police station area.

Chief Minister Yogi gave instructions to run relief work in affected districts

Taking cognizance of unseasonal rains, electricity and hailstorm, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials of the affected districts to run relief work with complete readiness and preparation. An official statement issued here said that the Chief Minister has instructed the District Magistrates to visit the affected areas, closely monitor relief work and ensure immediate assistance to the people affected by adverse weather conditions.

Yogi said- safe storage of wheat should be done in procurement centers and mandis

He said that ensure immediate distribution of relief amount to the affected families in cases of life or loss of livestock due to celestial lightning, storm, heavy rain or hailstorm. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also emphasized that the injured should get quick and adequate medical treatment. On the ongoing government wheat procurement process between heavy rains and hailstorms, the Chief Minister directed that all necessary precautions should be taken to ensure safe storage of wheat in procurement centers and mandis.

He also directed the officials to conduct intensive survey of crop loss and submit a detailed report to the government for appropriate action. In areas affected by waterlogging, Adityanath asked to arrange immediate drainage. He said that this issue should be resolved on priority basis. This will enable the administration to initiate proper follow -up action and assistance to the affected farmers. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Office said that there is a possibility of heavy rains and lightning in Kaushambi, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Lucknow, Barabanki and Rae Bareli.
