Friend threatened to remove kidney for not repaying bank loan

Bank Loan: In the year 2018, the victim took a loan from a private bank to buy an auto-rickshaw, in which the accused supported him as a guarantor. But due to not paying installments on time, the bank seized the rickshaw.

Bank Loan: A shocking case has come to light in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, where a person allegedly beaten his 34 -year -old friend for not repaying the debt. Even threatened to remove her kidney. Police said the incident took place on 9 August, but the victim lodged a complaint on 26 August after about two weeks. According to the police, the victim is an auto-rickshaw driver from Akurli (Panvel) and the accused is also a resident of Panvel. The friendship of both is more than a decade old. In the year 2018, the victim took a loan from a private bank to buy an auto-rickshaw, in which the accused supported him as a guarantor. But due to non -payment of installments on time, the bank not only confiscated the rickshaw, but also freeze the bank account of the accused who was guarantor.

Accused friend’s bank account freeze

On the day of the incident i.e. on August 9, both friends reached the bank. Bank officials asked him to pay an arrear of Rs 36,000. On the pretext of discussing in this connection, the accused took his friend on a motorcycle and took him to his house in Wajegaon in Panvel. There he allegedly put the friend on the chair, then tied his hands and feet and put a handkerchief in his mouth. After this, he attacked him and threatened that if he did not repay the loan amount soon, he would take out his kidney. The victim did not immediately complain to the police due to fear and embarrassment. But after increasing mental pressure, finally on August 26, he lodged a report at the Panvel police station. After receiving the complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused. An official of Panvel Police Station said that a case has been registered against the accused under the related sections of IPC and investigation is being done.

Threat to sell blood for not paying money

The officer also said that the victim has not given any special reason for lodging a complaint with delay. This case not only questions the trust of friendship but also shows how personal relationships can take the form of stress and violence in cases of economic transactions and debt. At present, the police is investigating the case and further action will be decided after the arrest of the accused. The official said that the accused threatened to give the victim unconscious medicine, to withdraw his kidney and sell his blood for not giving money. Police said that during the attack, the accused snatched Rs 12,300 cash from the victim’s pocket and then left him and ran away. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused under several sections of the Indian Justice Code, including 127 (7) (wrongly hostage), 118 (1) and 115 (2) (voluntary injury). Police said that these include Section 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) and 352 (deliberately insulting with the intention of disturbing peace).
