Gangster Harsimran: A gangster named in many serious cases in India was arrested in Bangkok. He was in contact with gangster Goldie Dhillon. With the help of Goldie, he was planning to carry out his criminal activities in India. The accused had fled the country on a fake passport. The government brought the gangster to India. Police said on Saturday that the accused was trying to expand his criminal network internationally with the help of foreign gangster Goldie Dhillon. Police said the accused Harsimran alias Badal alias Simran (38), a resident of East Shalimar Bagh, was extradited from Bangkok to Delhi on November 26 after efforts by Indian central agencies and Thai authorities. A senior police officer said the accused Harsimran obtained a passport from Gorakhpur under the fake identity of Rajesh Singh and flew to Bangkok in January this year with the help of Europe-based gangster Goldie Dhillon. After this he went to Dubai.

Tried to reach America and Europe with the help of Dhillon’s associates. Police said his attempts to enter Europe via Azerbaijan and later the Belarus-Latvia-Poland route failed. He returned to Bangkok for visa extension and based on inputs given by Indian agencies, he was detained in Bangkok. Police said his passport, obtained under a fake identity, was canceled by the Ministry of External Affairs, which facilitated his deportation. Police said Harsimran was arrested upon reaching Delhi airport. He has been arrested in an FIR registered under the provisions of the Indian Judicial Code and Arms Act. Harsimran has a long criminal history. He has been named in 23 cases, including extortion, murder, attempt to murder and offenses under the Arms Act. After fleeing India, the accused threatened a key witness in a case registered against him. He asked the witness to retract his statement and demanded Rs 50 lakh from him.

Lookout circular was issued

The officer said that on the basis of this, a new FIR was registered against the gangster at Mukherjee Nagar police station earlier this year. After being released on bail, Harsimran stopped attending court hearings in at least 14 cases. Police said that Harsimran started as a wrestler in Delhi and Maharashtra. After this, he got involved in crime after coming in contact with gangsters active in Burari, Sagarpur and North-West Delhi. Later he formed an alliance with Dhillon’s gang members and planned to run international operations from America and Europe. It is said that the arrest of Mahendra Singh, another accused in a 2010 murder case, led the police to Harsimran. During interrogation, Mahendra Singh revealed that the arms and ammunition seized from him were found to be from Harsimran. A lookout circular was issued against Harsimran.
