Delhi Police Action: About a month ago, after a dispute with his father, a 13 -year -old girl who ran away from India, was trapped in his trap by the accused. The accused took money and forcibly married him in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. He was raped. Police have arrested Shamli resident Rajiv (40), Hapur resident Vikas (20), Meerut resident Ashu (55) and Ghaziabad resident Ramanjot Singh (24) in connection with the incident. Police said that the girl was rescued from Shamli in Uttar Pradesh, about a month after the disappearance on 21 July. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Bhishma Singh said that the girl had left for tuition from Wazirpur in North-West Delhi on July 21, but did not return. A case of kidnapping was registered at Bharat Nagar Police Station and a team was formed to find it.
Victim reached Meerut from Delhi
The DCP said that the victim told the police that she had left the house in a disturbed condition after a quarrel with her father and went by metro from Indralok metro station to New Delhi railway station. The victim further told that from there she reached Meerut in a train, where she met Vikas. The DCP said that Vikas seduced him and later he was taken hostage in Ashu’s house. After this, the girl was handed over to Rajiv, which intended to buy her. To carry out this deal, another accused Ramanjot Singh prepared a fake Aadhaar card, calling him an adult. Police said that Rajiv forcibly married the girl on July 24 and allegedly sexually abused her at her residence in Shamli. Meanwhile, the girl’s family received a missed call from an unknown number. However, on the contact, a woman said that her daughter -in -law would have accidentally called that number. The location of the number was found to be Shamli and on August 16, the girl was rescued from Rajiv’s house with the help of local police.
Fake documents recovered from the accused
Police said that during the investigation, it was also found that Ramanjot, who runs a cyber cafe in Ghaziabad, had prepared a fake Aadhaar card of the victim using an online PDF editing application. Fake documents and four mobile phones used in conspiracy have been seized from the accused. The DCP said that during the continuous interrogation, the accused revealed that they had conspired to sell the girl for money. The victim’s statement confirmed the incident and after counseling she has been handed over to her family. During the investigation, the victim’s details were immediately uploaded on the zipnet and broadcast across the country through NCRB, SCRB, CBI and missing person squad. Public information was published in major newspapers and CCTV footage was thoroughly investigated, in which the victim was seen near Indralok Metro Bus Stand.
Raid at many places including Mathura, Rohini, Palwal
The DCP said that more than 30 mobile phone numbers were examined. Suspected Instagram accounts were also investigated. Apart from this, many raids were conducted at Mathura, Rohini, Palwal, Dwarka, Shakurpur and various railway stations in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
