Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that the government personnel should get justice on time, for this, CAT accelerated his functioning. Yogi appreciated the functioning of the Lucknow bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), saying that it settled more than 6,000 cases of 6,708 cases filed between 2014 and 2024. He called upon government personnel to intensify this pace to provide timely justice.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed office building of CAT’s Lucknow bench, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride that we are dedicating this important judicial institution to the public on the birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar, the great manufacturer of our Constitution and the champions of justice for the marginalized people. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Personnel, Minister of State for Public Grievance and Pension Jitendra Singh, Adityanath said that tribunals play an important role in removing pending cases from regular courts.
He said, “The objective behind the establishment of tribunals is to ensure that the time of the court is not wasted unnecessarily in pending service-related matters and instead they should be dealt with in a special and time-bound manner. The workers affected by it can get justice without any delay. They also underlined the importance of resources for judicial institutions.” Whether it is not a circuit bench or a full-bench, he said, “Whether it is not a circuit bench, he said,” can not work.” He said that the new CAT office will provide services to 16 districts of the area, which will provide an important platform for timely justice.
Said- If justice is delayed for years, then it becomes a joke of system

Highlighting the effective solution to revenue related disputes, Adityanath said that when he took over in 2017, more than 33 lakh cases related to the land were pending in UP.
He said, “We classified them in a deadline – 30, 60 days, etc. – and instructed the authorities to solve them accordingly. If they fail to do so, the decision will be considered in favor of the appellant and the responsible officer would be held accountable. He claimed that due to this approach where 10 lakh new cases were registered in the last decade, while 10 lakh new cases were registered, while more than 34 lakh cases were reduced. The culture of delay was also controlled.
Settlement of 6,000 out of 6,708 cases in 10 years is commendable
Referring to the success of CAT, Adityanath said, “6,000 out of 6,708 cases in 10 years are commendable, but many of these cases can be resolved even more fast, if both sides are made face to face.
